Crane Birds duvet cover set flannel

The Netherlands’ largest hospital, Amsterdam UMC (formerly VUmc and AMC), asked SNURK to redesign their bedding. This collaboration resulted in a colourful origami crane print. What makes it extra special is that the paper birds you see were folded by the hospital staff themselves. In total, they folded over 1,000 cranes, as Japanese tradition holds that this brings good fortune and good health.

Luckily, you don’t have to end up in hospital to sleep under this bedding, as the print is also available in the SNURK bedding collection. For every Crane Bird duvet sold, €1 is donated to Cancer Center Amsterdam, where research is carried out into cancer medicines and improved treatment methods.
