The largest hospital in the Netherlands, Amsterdam UMC (formerly VUmc and AMC) has asked Snurk to redesign their bedding. This resulted in this colorful origami crane print. What makes it extra special is that the paper birds you see are folded by the hospital staff. They eventually folded more than 1,000 because according to the Japanese tradition this brings prosperity and good health. Fortunately, you don't have to end up in the hospital to be able to sleep under this bedding, because the print is also available in the snoring bedding collection. Moreover, every cranebird comforter sold € 1,- to Cancer Center Amsterdam, where research is done into cancer medicines and better treatment methods. update January 2024: more than € 12,900,- raised.
